Chicken Handi

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 chicken boneless (cut in cubes)
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 2 big tomatoes
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp ginger/garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • 1 green chili (chopped)
  • 2 green chilies (slit in half)
  • 3-4 whole dried red chilies
  • 1 tbsp coriander (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp red chilies
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1tsp grated ginger
 

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan.
  2. Add onion and fry until it turns golden.
  3. Then add ginger/garlic paste, tomatoes, salt, red chilies, turmeric powder and cool it for 5 minutes.
  4. Add chicken cubes and stir again for 5 minutes.
  5. Add cream, chopped green chilies and stir more.

  6. For tarka heat one-tablespoon ghee in a separate pan and put whole dried red chilies and add to the chicken.

Garnish with coriander, green chilies and grated ginger. Serve hot.
